Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Model-Based Design (MBD) Engineer with hands-on MATLAB/Simulink and TargetLink experience to support battery management system development.

You will design, implement, and verify embedded control algorithms, convert models to production-ready C code, and collaborate with software, systems, and hardware teams to ensure robust BMS functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Typically 3+ years of experience in MBD, MATLAB/Simulink, TargetLink, or automotive embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain control models using MATLAB/Simulink and TargetLink.
• Design, develop, and implement Model-Based Design solutions for automotive battery systems.
• Work on Battery Management System (BMS) models, including battery monitoring, control, diagnostics, and related functions.
• Convert Simulink models into production-ready embedded C code using TargetLink.
• Perform model simulation, testing, debugging, and verification.
• Support model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and related validation activities.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and hardware engineering teams to ensure successful integration.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into functional models and software components.
• Troubleshoot model and code-generation issues and support continuous improvements.
