Job summary

Edison Smart are partnered with a leading building automation and controls systems integrator delivering BMS and EPMS solutions across data centres and other mission-critical environments. They are looking for an experienced BMS/EPMS Controls Technician to join their Building Automation team, responsible for installation, checkout, start-up, testing and commissioning of BMS/EPMS.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience; 3+ years in automation, controls, or related field accepted.
Experience with BMS, BAS, DDC, EPMS or building automation systems.
Familiarity with BACnet and/or Modbus protocols is highly desirable.
Ability to work with third-party systems integration and meet high standards.

Responsibilities

Perform checkout, start-up, testing and troubleshooting of BMS DDC controllers in data centres.
Perform checkout, start-up and testing of EPMS graphics and monitoring systems.
Complete BMS/EPMS commissioning activities including IST.
Work with customers and commissioning agents throughout testing and commissioning.
Document progress and maintain close-out documentation; follow MOP and Change Management processes.
Provide high level of customer service to stakeholders; travel to project sites across the US.
