Job summary

JSET Automated Technologies is seeking a Controls Technician to support Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across the Columbus region.

The role focuses on installing, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning control systems for mission-critical infrastructure. It offers hands-on technical work, collaboration with field teams, and participation in startup activities in the field.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and network docs.
• Basic networking knowledge including IP addressing and device comms.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and laptop-based tools.
• Able to configure devices via laptops and approved software.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage control wiring per drawings and specs.
• Read wiring diagrams and network diagrams to troubleshoot.
• Install and support field devices: sensors, controllers, meters, gateways, switches.
• Configure devices using laptops and software tools.
• Verify IP addressing, connectivity, and device communications.
• Perform startup, testing, and quality verification.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues in the field.
• Document installations, results, and configurations.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams and project leadership.
