Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Atlanta, GA seeks a skilled field technician to install, startup, commission, service, and troubleshoot BMS and EPMS control systems at data-center projects. You will install and terminate controllers, panels, sensors, and low-voltage wiring, and build control panels.

This role requires reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and network topologies, plus strong knowledge of BACnet/IP, Modbus, and Niagara.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with BMS/BAS controls and Tridium Niagara.
Experience with Niagara wire sheet programming and control logic.
Experience with EPMS and data center control systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, control drawings, wiring diagrams, network topologies.
Strong knowledge of BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus TCP, and Modbus RTU.
Experience terminating RS-232, RS-485, and CAT5/CAT6 cabling.
Basic networking knowledge and ability to configure PCs/devices for network access.
Familiarity with CAD and construction drawings.
Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment used in data centers.
Knowledge of 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical infrastructure as it relates to controls.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Ability to pass required state and federal security screening.

Responsibilities

Install, start up, commission, service, and troubleshoot BMS and EPMS control systems.
Install and terminate controllers, panels, sensors, conduit, and other building control components.
Perform point-to-point checkout and verify proper system operation.
Perform hardware/software calibration and system configuration.
Build and wire low-voltage control panels.
Perform low-voltage cable installation and termination as required.
Work with installation subcontractors to ensure projects meet schedule, code, standards, and contract requirements.
Support project commissioning activities, including daily meetings, testing, documentation, and reporting.
Troubleshoot BMS/EPMS hardware, software, networking, and field devices.
Support routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance activities.
