Job summary

Seneca Resources in Waltham, MA is seeking a Building Management Systems Engineer/Electrician to administer, operate, maintain, and optimize building automation and energy management systems across HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.

The role collaborates with Facilities, Engineering, IT, and vendors to improve reliability and energy efficiency, supports critical facility projects, and offers contract-to-hire employment with first shift hours.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Building Automation, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Systems, or Controls Engineering
• 3-5+ years supporting Building Management Systems (Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara, etc.)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and utility systems within commercial or laboratory environments
• Strong understanding of facility operations, networking fundamentals, and MEP systems
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to work on-site for a 1st shift schedule (Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm)
• Optional certifications in controls, HVAC, or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer, operate, maintain, and optimize building automation and energy management systems.
• Ensure seamless functioning of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
• Collaborate with Facilities, Engineering, IT, and vendor teams to improve system reliability and energy efficiency.
