Job summary

WIHCC Inc. seeks a Biomedical Engineering Technician I to support the Biomedical Engineer Supervisor and senior BMETs in maintaining medical equipment across our facilities.

The role includes calibration, repairs, safety inspections, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance on diverse device types, aiding clinical staff, and ensuring life safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology preferred.
• One year of healthcare technology field experience or equivalent.
• Certification as Biomedical Equipment Technician preferred or obtained within one year.
• Bilingual English and Navajo preferred.
• NFPA-99 training within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining, calibrating, installing, repairing, and inspecting medical equipment.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance under supervision.
• Document repairs and maintenance to meet accreditation standards.
• Instruct staff in proper use and safety procedures for equipment.
