Job summary

TriMedx seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) to provide clinical equipment services under supervision. The role includes validation and inspection of equipment for safety and proper operation, plus planned maintenance, calibrations, and repairs of general biomedical devices.

The BMET I assists other technicians, supports regulatory compliance, and participates in ongoing training to advance biomedical knowledge and service quality.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or military equivalent, or two years of equivalent experience.
• 3 months experience working with biomedical equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PA inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on general biomedical equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment.
• Inform supervisors of repair status, inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns.
• Work with subcontractors, vendors, and outside technicians to ensure proper service delivery.
• Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education.
• Assist with Service Operations Special Projects as assigned.
