Job summary

TriMedx, LLC is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) to perform maintenance, calibration, and inspection of general biomedical equipment under supervision. The role includes service, repair, and regulatory compliance tasks, with interaction to clinicians and customers.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment databases, coordinating with subcontractors, and participating in training to stay current with biomedical technology.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical/electronics field or two years of equivalent experience.
• 3 months experience working with biomedical equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; travel may be required at primary site.

Responsibilities

• Perform PA inspections, scheduled maintenance, ESI, and OVP on general biomedical equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment.
• Inform supervisors of repair status and any customer concerns.
• Direct and document activities of subcontractors and outside technicians.
• Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education.
• Assist with Service Operations Special Projects as assigned.
• Ensure accuracy of equipment database and adherence to MEMP and regulations.
• Maintain complete service documentation in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain customer relationships; discuss equipment status with clinicians.
• Perform periodic inventory inspections and manage equipment records.
