Overview

Title: BME Adjunct-Biomaterials
Department: Bio-Medical Engineering
Reports To: Department Chair
Position Type: Faculty

Position Summary

Develop and deliver lectures, prepare and grade assignments, design laboratory experiments, and examination of student learning. Learn and use online course management system - Canvas. Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class (ie office hours). Submit grades to the registrar at the end of the semester.

Prerequisite Qualifications

M.S. degree in biomedical engineering or related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. preferred with previous college teaching experience. Industrial experience is an added advantage. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience in chemical or biomedical engineering specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Salary Information

In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the rate for this position is $2591 per contact hour. (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
