The New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark is seeking a BME Adjunct to develop and deliver lectures, prepare assignments, and design laboratory experiments. The ideal candidate will hold an M.S. degree in electrical or biomedical engineering, with a Ph.D. preferred and prior college teaching experience.
In this part-time faculty role, you will provide mentorship through office hours and utilize the Moodle online course management system. Salary is $2668 per contact hour based on qualifications.

Develop and deliver lectures, prepare and grade assignments, design laboratory experiments, and examine student learning. Learn and use online course management system – Moodle. Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class (ie office hours). Submit grades to the registrar at the end of the semester.
M.S. degree in electrical or biomedical engineering or related field required.
Ph.D. preferred with previous college teaching experience. Industrial experience is an added advantage. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical or biomedical engineering specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the rate for this position is $2668 per contact hour (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organization considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
