Job summary

Foxconn is seeking an AI Server / Rack BMC Engineer to own out-of-band firmware initialization, system telemetry calibration, and remote monitor validation across integrated AI rack platforms. You will program, test, and debug the BMC firmware (Open BMC/AMI Mega RAC) to ensure 100kW+ rack infrastructure can be powered on and remotely monitored.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Embedded BMC Firmware Implementation & Testing
  • 1+ years of Hardware Sensor Bus Architecture & Communication
  • 1+ years of Redfish API & Hyperscale Management Protocol Customization
  • 1+ years of Hardware-Software System Bring-Up & Diagnostics

Responsibilities

  • Perform BMC bring-up and validate out-of-band management functions for server platforms, including system monitoring, remote management, event logging, and hardware telemetry.
  • Configure and calibrate system sensors for temperature, voltage, current, fan speed, and power monitoring; tune thresholds for safe operation.
  • Develop, validate, and support Redfish API functionality to meet hyperscale requirements and align with standards.
  • Analyze event logs and diagnostic data to identify faults and support corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain automated scripts for BMC firmware flashing, configuration, and validation; ensure ECO compliance.
