Reports To: Division Supervisor

Job Summary: The Store Manager is responsible for day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees and the assistant manager. The Store Manager is responsible for the store profits and all controllable expenses, including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages.

List of Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, hire, and train employees to become strong team members of Blue Water, ensuring excellent customer service.
  2. Support, encourage, and challenge all employees for growth and success within Blue Water.
  3. Resolve and/or escalate customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well-kept.
  5. Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner.
  6. Create effective orders to help keep products in stock.
  7. Maintain quality fuel brand image standards.
  8. In a consistent and professional manner, supervise and discipline all store employees according to company policy.
  9. Monitor daily retail gasoline competitors and send the prices to the corporate office in a timely manner as established by management.
  10. Meet paperwork and computer entry deadlines for C-Store locations, Payroll, and Human Resources as established by each department.
  11. Create employee schedules, monitor and edit electronic timecards throughout the week; approve timecards weekly by the designated deadline.
  12. Monitor cash overages/shortages, inventory shrinkage, and drive-offs daily.
  13. Conduct store meetings as needed with employees.
  14. Have the physical ability to perform all duties of the Assistant Manager and a store cashier.
  15. Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations.
  16. Follow and enforce all Company Policies and Established Procedures in the store operations.
  17. Implement monthly promotions, ensuring all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
  18. Communicate any problems with merchandise pricing to the Price Book Coordinator.
  19. Implement and enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures.
  20. Enforce all Safety and Security Issues and report any and all unsafe conditions.
  21. Follow company procedures to report and process required communications and paperwork concerning all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents.

  • Experience in low-volume Store Management; multi-unit Food and Beverage, Merchandise operations, or other related experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-high school education in the field of hospitality or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Minimum Age requirements: 18 years.
  • This position requires repetitive motions and the ability to lift or push objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Professional demeanor in supervising employees and supporting customer needs required.
  • Ability to multi-task recommended.
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts five days weekly.
  • Flexibility in schedule with availability to open or close and run shifts without supervision required.
  • Ability to stand long term, bend to clean and/or stock, and lift products up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Employment Laws.
  • Background Check Required.
