Job summary

The Clarion Inn in Garden City, KS is seeking a friendly busser to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining area during shifts. You will support front-of-house staff and customers by clearing and resetting tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring sanitation standards are met throughout service hours.

This role requires initiative, teamwork, and a focus on guest comfort. Experience is preferred but not required; reliable, punctual applicants who communicate well will be considered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clear and clean tables promptly after customers leave.
• Wipe and sanitize tables, chairs, high chairs, and dining surfaces.

• Empty trash when needed.
• Restock napkins, condiments, utensils, and other supplies as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized customer areas.
• Assist customers with to-go boxes, extra sauces, or moving tables for larger parties.
• Keep restrooms and common areas clean according to restaurant procedures.
• Communicate cleaning or maintenance issues to management.
• Assist cashiers and other front-of-house employees when needed.
• Follow all sanitation and food-safety requirements.

Key Responsibilites

• Clear and clean tables promptly after customers leave.
• Wipe and sanitize tables, chairs, high chairs, and other dining surfaces.
• Keep floors and dining areas clean and free of debris.
• Empty trash when needed.
• Restock napkins, condiments, utensils, and other supplies as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized customer areas.
• Assist customers when appropriate, whether it be with getting to go boxes, extra sauces that aren't charged, or helping move tables for larger parties.
• Keep restrooms and common areas clean according to restaurant procedures.
• Communicate cleaning or maintenance issues to management.
• Assist cashiers and other front-of-house employees when needed.
• Follow all sanitation and food-safety requirements.

Expectations

The busser should stay active and aware of the restaurant's needs throughout the shift. Clean dining areas and restrooms is everyone's responsibility, and bussers should take initiative rather than waiting to be directed.
