Job summary

Amcor in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Production Operator to join our team on a 12-hour day shift, four days a week. You will perform changeovers, monitor equipment and ensure safety and quality during blown film extrusion processes.

You will weigh scrap, complete production paperwork, operate secondary equipment, and respond to alerts while maintaining accurate system records. We value reliability, basic math, and good English, with bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Solid computer skills.
• Good English skills; bilingual a plus (Spanish, Vietnamese).
• Experience with blown film extrusion.
• Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems.
• Ability to provide guidance and leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be punctual; at line on time.

Responsibilities

• Perform changeovers and complete changeover setup form.
• Arranges assistance for changeover.
• Responsible for the cleaning for blenders/material changes.
• Mix or oversee the mixing of resins in middle and small area.
• Completes paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet.
• Make sure scrap gets weighed and recorded on shift paperwork.
• Set all secondary equipment (printer, punches, etc.) and test functionality.
• Watches for stack light alerts.
• Supports and complies with safety and environmental guidelines.
• Make machine adjustments as needed for Packer/Inspector.
• Calls for medical assistance and applies first aid if trained.
• Completes maintenance request forms.
• Closes orders in system.
• Watches rates and applies correct variance code in system.
• Collects, weighs and documents all scrap; enters in system.
• Bill of Materials adjustments and corrections.
• Works a 12-hour day, 4 days a week; weekend work is mandatory.
