G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Blowmold Leadperson to set up and operate blow mold equipment, lead a small team, and drive production safety, quality and efficiency on a 12-hour shift.

You will troubleshoot HMIs, work with maintenance and transportation, and perform quality checks and material handling. The role requires 1–3 years of machine operation experience in food/beverage manufacturing, basic computer skills (Word/Excel), and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Years of experience: 1–3 years as a machine operator in food/beverage/pharma manufacturing.
• Must have basic computer skills (Word and Excel).
• Forklift certification required.
• Education: High School or GED; vocational/technical electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to meet daily production goals for safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Collaborate with maintenance and transportation across departments.
• Troubleshoot equipment including HMI controls.
• Operate blow mold equipment and perform changeovers to specs (package, flavor, mold size).
• Ensure correct material handling and FIFO for materials; load/unload according to standards.
• Perform quality checks and label application inspections; ensure proper adhesion.
• Maintain clean work areas and recycle materials; reduce scrap where possible.
• Support cross-training and coverage for meals, vacations, and absences.
