Job summary

Aerotek in Blaine, MN is seeking an assembler to perform mechanical assemblies for lawn care equipment, from start to finish. You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and work either independently or in small teams on full assemblies.

The role involves meeting daily or longer-term production targets, following strict quality standards, and maintaining good attendance. Training and collaboration are expected on a steady, day-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or mechanical setting.
• At least 1 year of hands-on mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent attendance record with limited monthly absences.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and in small teams.
• Reliable work ethic and steady effort.
• Attention to detail for high-quality assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble blower units and lawn care equipment from start to finish.
• Use drills, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and hand tools safely.
• Read blueprints and schematics to follow steps and placements.
• Complete sub-assemblies alone or with a partner as assigned.
• Meet production expectations (about 15 units/day or 1 unit per 23 days for complex builds).
• Follow work instructions and quality standards.
• Maintain excellent attendance to support production schedules.
• Collaborate with trainers, partners, and supervisors to improve workflow.
• Adapt to changing workloads and deadlines.
• Keep the work area organized and safe.
