Job summary

Graham Packaging is looking for a Technical Training Development Specialist to design and conduct training programs that equip employees with the skills required for blow molding, injection molding and downstream operations. The role serves as a subject matter expert and contributes to company SOPs.

This position reports to Graham Packaging’s Global Technical Center in York, PA and requires travel up to 75% to support global operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Understanding of educational techniques and when to use each.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Knowledge of blow molding resins and raw materials.
• Strong processing skills for monolayer, multilayer, and multi-parison bottles.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills of blow molding equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver training programs for employees or customers.
• Align training with organizational needs and SOP creation.
• Develop online/on-demand training resources with instructional design best practices.
• Create supporting materials (FAQs, job aids) for training resources.
• Determine learner performance criteria and develop assessments.
• Maintain course documentation and collateral for future trainings.
• Collaborate on creation of standard operating procedures.
• Explore new training techniques for continuous improvement.
