Buffalo Rock is seeking a Blow Molding & Label Operator at its Birmingham, AL facility. The role focuses on safe and efficient operation of blow molding machines and inline labeling equipment to produce labeled plastic containers.

The ideal candidate will set up machines, monitor quality, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with GMP standards. High school diploma or GED and 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in blow molding, labeling, or similar manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience reading production schedules and work instructions preferred.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate blow molding equipment to produce plastic containers per specs.
• Set up machines for production runs, including mold changes.
• Monitor parameters and product quality during runs.
• Perform quality checks using gauges and visual inspections.
• Troubleshoot issues like flash, short shots, or misalignment.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow safety protocols.
• Operate labeling equipment and ensure accurate label placement.
• Adjust labelers for different sizes and formats as needed.
• Document production logs and downtime accurately.
• Assist with line changeovers and start-ups/shutdowns as needed.
• Report safety or equipment concerns to supervisor.
