Job summary

Igloo Products Corp. seeks a Technician - Set Up (Blow Mold) to support plastic part manufacturing in the Blow Molding and Injection Molding processes. You will set up molds, monitor operations, and ensure quality and safety standards are met on a daily basis.

The role requires hands-on experience with molds and forklifts, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment. This position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Experience: 6 months of mold-changing and/or processing plastics.
• 6 months experience operating a sit-down gas powered forklift.
• English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Hang molds and set up auxiliary equipment to run in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported in the required time.
• Set molds in a timely manner as recommended by management.
• Operate crane to replace molds.
• Forklift to molds.
• Complete paperwork.
• Primary responsibility for the monitoring and control of assigned process.
• Primary responsibility for the set-up and bring up to specification of assigned processes.
• Primary responsibility from the seeking of solutions for technical problems associated with assigned processes.
• Interface between Methods, Tooling, and Maintenance related to assigned processes.
