Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging seeks a Machine Operator to manage safe operation across molding lines and support varied stations. You will inspect parts hourly, organize parts for line flow, and assist in training new operators to uphold quality.

Responsibilities include defect checks, daily production reporting, and notifying supervisors of issues. Requires basic math, reading ability, and forklift certification; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic reading and math skills required.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Certificate and training in safe forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Randomly check parts produced every hour to ensure customer specs are met.
• Place parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Monitor flow of parts into assembling machinery, secondary equipment, and storage containers.
• Tend machines in molding area according to standards.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Assist in training new operators as needed.
• Check finished parts for defects and document results.
• Notify leads if items do not meet quality requirements or if repairs are needed.
• Compute production-related data using a calculator.
• Maintain housekeeping in work areas.
