Job summary

Altium Packaging in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to run blow mold, grinder, and trimmer machines on a 3rd shift. You will troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance to keep the production line operating efficiently, working closely with teammates for smooth procedures to maximize output and profits.

The role requires 2+ years of machine operation experience, familiarity with high-speed machinery, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years' experience as a machine operator preferred.
• 2+ years' blow mold machine operation preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills required.
• Troubleshooting and minor machine maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Operate blow-mold machines (including wheels, reciprocator or shuttle machines).
• Perform audits, weights and quality checks.
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Enter data into SPC database for quality control measures.
• Troubleshoot, preventative maintenance, minor repair on blow mold & support equipment.
• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
• Maintain activity logs.
