Job summary

Vitalant in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Hospital Delivery Technician to transport blood products between Vitalant locations and hospital partners. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and professional service in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will handle time-sensitive orders, verify products, and maintain temperature control throughout transport. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills preferred.
• Ability to accurately complete required documentation and use basic computer or mobile technology.
• Ability to work the schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings and/or on-call as needed.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements: lifting, carrying, loading/unloading 40–50 lb items.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, verify and deliver time-sensitive blood product orders.
• Maintain temperature-control and chain-of-custody during transport.
• Safely load/unload products following SOPs and delivery confirmations.
• Document and track deliveries and transportation activities accurately.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and priorities.
