Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a manufacturing technician to process blood products and samples, including scanning, component production, labeling, storage, and sample tube management. You will work with a team to meet quality goals and maintain strict documentation in a dynamic environment.

The role requires attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays; prior experience in regulatory, lab, or manufacturing settings

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with computer programs and laboratory equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Meet quality and production goals while prioritizing workload and maintaining documentation.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and distribution.
• Enter data and operate programs for component production, labeling, storage, and sample tubes.
• Analyze information and make decisions to meet deadlines.
• Perform complex tasks such as pooled product manufacturing, freeze, wash, or deglycerolizing.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers, vendors, and volunteers.
• Possibly work a variable schedule including weekends and holidays.
