The American Red Cross is seeking a Distribution Technician in Portland, Oregon for on-site work. You will receive, process, pack, and ship blood products to hospitals, triaging orders by urgency and ensuring proper temperature control.

You will maintain traceable records, communicate with hospital clients and staff, and perform data entry across manufacturing and shipping processes. This role requires a High School diploma or GED, with preference for 2 years in regulatory, distribution, or

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision‑making skills.

Responsabilités

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders.
• Triage orders based on date/time needed and ensure correct temperature regulated products.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors; maintain product records for traceability.
• Interact with team in a positive, proactive, customer-focused manner.
• Perform data entry related to manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering and shipping; maintain records.
• Identify and quarantine products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements and disposition appropriately.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
