Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician in Spokane to support the hospital distribution team. You will process blood orders, prepare products for scheduled procedures or urgent needs, and ensure accuracy and patient safety while working in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to follow detailed procedures, and flexibility to work shifts that may include weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately enter, review and maintain information using computer systems.
• Flexibility to work schedules including weekends, holidays, evenings and on-call as needed.

Responsabilités

• Receive, process and confirm routine and urgent blood product orders from hospitals and healthcare facilities, providing professional customer service and timely responses.
• Select, verify, prepare, package and distribute blood products with high accuracy and proper documentation for patient safety.
• Monitor, store, rotate and track blood product inventory to meet hospital needs and ensure product availability.
• Use computer systems to process orders, document transactions, manage inventory and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
• Follow SOPs, safety guidelines and temperature-control requirements in a regulated healthcare environment and maintain clean, compliant work areas.
• Collaborate with drivers, couriers, hospital staff and team members to manage priorities and deliver blood products when applicable.
