Job summary

CSL in Knoxville, TN seeks an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to screen materials used in the processing and distribution of blood and plasma products, and to perform unit/donor suitability testing.

Responsibilities include routine analytical testing, instrument operation and maintenance, adherence to cGMP and SOPs, and ongoing education in a regulated lab environment. The role requires a degree and Tennessee MLT designation and offers second-shift work.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field is required.
• MLT designation as required by the State of Tennessee.
• 2+ years' lab experience preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Above average computer skills required.
• WILL be willing to work 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Screen and control material used in processing, manufacture and distribution of blood and plasma products.
• Independently perform lab procedures related to unit and/or donor suitability testing and other assays.
• Perform routine analytical testing using manual and automated methods; analyze results against controls.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Complete maintenance and QC per SOPs.
• Operate analytical instrumentation and perform routine maintenance.
• Work within cGMP guidelines and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Follow safety regulations, HSE rules, and SOPs.
