Blood Assurance, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist for first shift. The role runs Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM with rotating weekends, performing donor testing and reference lab work while preparing and labeling blood components, and handling shipments.

Qualified candidates must hold MT/MLT ASCP certification and an AS or BS degree; blood bank experience is preferred but not required. Relocation and comprehensive benefits are available within a nonprofit setting.

Medical Laboratory Scientist (1st Shift)

Blood Assurance is seeking compassionate, dependable 1st Shift, Full-Time Medical Lab Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist in our Chattanooga Area. The schedule would be Monday-Friday 7AM to 3PM with rotating weekends. The responsibilities for the Medical Lab Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist include preparation of blood and blood components, labeling of blood, shipment of blood, and various clerical tasks.

The primary function:

• Donor Testing
• Reference Lab

Qualified candidates:

• Must have current MT or MLT ASCP Certificationand AS/BS Degree.
• Blood bank experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a positive, professional attitude.
