Job summary

American Red Cross in Nashville is seeking a warehouse/inventory support role for the blood collections operation. You will acquire, distribute, and maintain supplies and equipment used in daily blood collection activities, and you may be responsible for delivering materials to internal and external customers.

This role offers paid training, a dynamic schedule, and competitive benefits. A valid driver's license is required, and prior warehouse or inventory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Ability to carry moderate weight is required.
• Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs; must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools and work with chemicals and solvents.
• Basic computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage blood collection equipment and supplies including boxes, labels and canteen supplies.
• Prepare blood collection kits in accordance with established directives.
• Take inventory and order supplies from the warehouse, maintaining collections' supply and equipment area.
• Fill order requisitions from mobile and fixed sites.
• Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers.
• May drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload required supplies and equipment where applicable and as needed.
