The Red Cross supports various cultural and community resource groups for employees and volunteers, including the Ability Network, Asian American & Pacific Islander Resource Group, Latino Resource Group, Red Cross PRIDE, Umoja African American Resource Group, Veterans+ Resource Group, and Women's Resource Group. In this role, you will manufacture blood products and samples. Responsibilities include processing blood units received from donors, scanning units, processing into transfusable components (red cells, platelets, plasma), and leukoreducing.
As a team member, you will care for your team, show up for every shift, and give 100%. You will interact positively with internal and external customers, demonstrating care and compassion at all times.
Standard Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00 pm - 2:30 am
Training: First 4-6 weeks, daytime hours (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
Pay: Training at $18.30/hr; Shift: Tuesday-Friday $20.05-$20.55/hr; Saturday $21.05-$21.55/hr
Standing, stretching, stooping, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in walk-in refrigerators/freezers, wearing protective clothing.
