Job summary

The American Red Cross in Stockton, CA is seeking a temporary Blood Collections Support role to acquire, distribute and maintain supplies used in day-to-day blood collections. You will also handle the delivery and return of materials to internal and external customers and may train others.

This position requires a high school diploma, 3 years of related experience, strong customer service and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• Ability to carry moderate weight and lift up to 75 pounds; may work in tight spaces and handle a variety of tools and chemicals.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Manage blood collection equipment and supplies including boxes, labels and canteen supplies.
• Take inventory and order supplies from the warehouse, maintaining collections' supply and equipment area.
• Fill order requisitions from mobile and fixed sites and provide training and support to staff as directed.
• Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with internal and external customers.
• May drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload required supplies and equipment as needed.
