Blood Collection Staff – Customer Service

Join us as a Blood Collection Staff – Customer Service at American Red Cross.

We offer paid training with no prior medical experience required. Become a vital part of the world’s largest humanitarian network, helping communities and saving lives.

Job Overview

Utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with blood collection. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and following safety procedures during blood collection to ensure safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Connect personally with donors, explaining the impact of their donations.
• Work with your team to ensure a friendly environment for repeat donations.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet collection goals and safety standards.
• May operate Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown at donation sites. A minimum height of 60 inches may be required for vehicle operation.

Schedule and Pay

Variable schedule, Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays, early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedule provided 2-3 weeks in advance. Pay ranges from $20.72/hour (Entry-Level) to $30.09/hour (RN License).

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience and effective communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Physical ability to lift heavy weights, sit or stand for long periods, and adapt to irregular hours.
• Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT).
• Leadership experience.
