Job Overview

Utilize your healthcare and customer service skills to assist with blood collection, including transporting and setting up equipment, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and following safety procedures to collect lifesaving blood donations.

Responsibilities
  1. Connect personally with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the impact of their donation.
  2. Work with your team to ensure a friendly environment to encourage repeat donations.
  3. Maintain attention to detail to meet collection goals and safety standards.
  4. May operate vehicles and assist with setup and teardown at donation sites; minimum height requirement of 60 inches may apply.
Schedule and Compensation

Variable schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Pay starts at $18/hour, with potential increases based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Customer service experience and effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, stand or sit for long periods, and adapt to irregular hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare or phlebotomy experience (e.g., CNA, MA, EMT).
  • Leadership experience.
Additional Information

Located in Columbia, Missouri. The role is on-site, with potential for overnight travel. Basic computer skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
