Responsibilities

• Perform type and screen testing, cross matching, and antibody identification.
• Calculate and prepare blood for exchange transfusion.
• Maintain blood inventory within target levels.
• Record all quality control and instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Ensure transfusion components meet cGMP requirements per NYSDOH, FDA, AABB, CAP and NYBC.
• Handle related laboratory tasks as needed.
