Job summary

Carter BloodCare in Texas seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist – Blood Banker (MLS-BB) to perform testing within Reference & Transfusion (R&T) Services and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The MLS-BB will maintain active licensure, participate in competency and education activities, and support CBC across service regions with travel as needed. Regular full-time attendance is required, with a Monday–Friday 13:00–21:30 shift and rotating weekends to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• MLS-BB license/certification required by regulatory standards.
• Experience in transfusion services preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Reference & Transfusion (R&T) Services, performing testing and related duties within defined complexity.
• Ensures daily R&T lab operations meet regulatory and quality standards and deliver excellence in transfusion services.
• Champions Carter BloodCare Core Values and Code of Conduct; attends meetings and training sessions.
• Maintains active licensure/certifications as required by role and CBC policies.
• Occasional travel between CBC locations to support operations and training.
