Job summary

HSHS is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/MLS/MLT for its Transfusion Services at Springfield - St. John's Hospital. The role conducts tests on patient samples using biomedical instrumentation, microscopes, and computers to support diagnosis and treatment.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, days, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences with NAACLS MLS/MLT or ASCP eligibility and have lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences with courses in biology, chemistry and mathematics.
• MLS/MLT program completion or ASCP/NCA/AMT eligibility is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests on patient samples using biomedical instrumentation, microscopes, and computers.
• Provide data to physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
• Schedule: 40 hrs/wk, Days, Monday–Friday, every other weekend.
