U.S. Bank is seeking a Digital Assets – Blockchain Payments Product Manager to define, develop, and manage blockchain-enabled payment products that support the bank's digital assets strategy, reporting to the Blockchain Payments Product Lead.

You will partner across technology, operations, risk, legal, compliance, finance, and business lines to translate strategic objectives into actionable product plans and delivery priorities in a highly regulated environment.

Job Description

The Digital Assets – Blockchain Payments Product Manager will be responsible for defining, developing, and managing blockchain-enabled payment products and capabilities that support the organization’s digital assets strategy. Reporting to the Blockchain Payments Product Lead, this role will work closely with cross-functional partners across the organization to design, build, and scale secure, compliant, and client-centric payment solutions.

This individual will be responsible for specific products and capabilities within the blockchain payments portfolio and will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into actionable product plans, requirements, and delivery priorities. The role requires a strong understanding of payments, emerging technologies, and product management practices, as well as the ability to partner effectively with technology, operations, risk, legal, compliance, finance, and business line stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, technical aptitude, and execution capabilities to help bring innovative payment solutions to market within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage specific products and capabilities within the blockchain payments portfolio, from concept through implementation and ongoing enhancement.
• Define product requirements, business objectives, use cases, and success metrics that support payment modernization and digital asset initiatives.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with broader blockchain payments strategy and business priorities.
• Partner with Blockchain Payments Product Leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable product development plans.
• Work closely with Payments Systems Product Architects and Technology teams to define solution requirements, evaluate technical approaches, and support delivery efforts.
• Collaborate with business line product teams to integrate blockchain payment capabilities into existing banking products, services, and client offerings.
• Gather and evaluate stakeholder requirements across business lines, client-facing teams, operations, technology, risk, legal, compliance, and finance organizations.
• Support product delivery activities including prioritization, feature definition, user story development, testing, implementation planning, and post-launch optimization.
• Analyze payment industry trends, client needs, competitive developments, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
• Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure products are designed and delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements and enterprise standards.
• Monitor product performance and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities and support continuous product evolution.
• Communicate product strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership teams.

Basic Qualifications

• Digital Product Management experience
  

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience with blockchain technology, digital assets, tokenized payments, stablecoins, distributed ledger technology, or emerging payment infrastructure.
• Knowledge of domestic and international payment systems, real-time payments, settlement processes, or treasury and cash management solutions.
• Experience supporting product strategy, roadmap development, and product lifecycle management activities.
• Familiarity with blockchain payment networks, digital asset platforms, smart contracts, or tokenized transaction models.
• Experience partnering with Product Architects, Engineering teams, and enterprise technology organizations.
• Demonstrated proficiency working with large datasets and using data analytics to support product decisions, business case development, performance measurement, and product optimization.
• Understanding of financial services regulatory, compliance, risk, and operational considerations related to payments.
• Experience working across multiple business lines and stakeholder groups to deliver enterprise product solutions.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex technology concepts to business audiences.
• Demonstrated interest in emerging payment technologies and the evolving digital assets ecosystem.
• Agile product management, product owner, or related product development experience.

Location Expectations:

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week
