Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a dependable Block Plant Machine Operator to operate and monitor block-making equipment, ensuring quality concrete products are produced safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, inspecting blocks for quality, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while following company PPE and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or block plant preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to work safely around moving equipment, dust, noise, and concrete products.
• Stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust block plant machinery and related equipment.
• Set up machines for production runs and ensure molds, materials, and equipment operate properly.
• Inspect finished block for size, appearance, strength, and quality.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Identify equipment or production issues and report them to supervision or maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety policies and production procedures.
• Assist with material handling and plant cleanup as needed.
