SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) in Smyrna, TN seeks an experienced Production Lead to oversee daily block plant operations and lead a production team. You will ensure safe, efficient equipment operation and deliver high-quality products, while coordinating schedules and optimizing production performance.

The role requires leadership experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and dependable attendance in an active industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or concrete products experience required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude around production equipment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and support block plant employees during daily production activities.
• Coordinate work assignments to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer needs.
• Monitor operation of block-making equipment, conveyors, mixers, curing systems, and related machinery.
• Assist with equipment setup, mold changes, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
• Inspect finished product and address quality concerns promptly.
• Enforce company safety policies, PPE requirements, housekeeping standards, and safe work practices.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate daily production goals, safety expectations, and operational updates.
• Train and coach team members on equipment operation, quality standards, and safe work procedures.
• Report production delays, equipment issues, safety concerns, and staffing needs to the Plant Manager.
• Maintain accurate production, downtime, and quality records.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and productive plant environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
