Responsibilities include setting up machines, inspecting blocks for quality, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while following company PPE and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or block plant preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to work safely around moving equipment, dust, noise, and concrete products.
• Stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

About the Opportunity

SRM Materials is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Block Plant Machine Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring block-making equipment to produce quality concrete masonry products efficiently and safely.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, takes pride in quality work, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust block plant machinery and related equipment.

• Set up machines for production runs and ensure molds, materials, and equipment are operating properly.

• Inspect finished block for size, appearance, strength, and overall quality standards.

• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance on equipment.

• Identify equipment or production issues and report them promptly to supervision or maintenance.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and production procedures.

• Assist with material handling, plant cleanup, and other duties as needed.
