Description

Maschmeyer Concrete is currently seeking a Block Plant Manager to join our team at our Concrete Block Production Plant located in Gibsonton, Florida.

The Block Plant Manager is responsible for leading a team, coordinating production schedules, managing inventory, and optimizing plant performance. The role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in concrete block production, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Block Plant Manager Required Education, Licenses, and Skills:

• Proven experience in concrete block production, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of concrete block manufacturing processes, equipment (Besser V3-12 block machine), and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and experience in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate computer skills; including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver License with driving record that meets company standards.

Block Plant Manager Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and supervise plant production team members.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing plant efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor and adjust production processes to maintain optimal output levels and minimize downtime.
• Oversee maintenance activities to ensure all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
• Conduct regular inspections of raw materials and finished goods to ensure production of high-quality concrete block that meets customer specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Order and maintain a parts inventory for molds and equipment.
