Job summary

Inw Group in Benicia, CA is seeking a Blending Technician I to blend raw material products according to production batch records, using batch sheets and following mixing instructions to document lot numbers and quantities.

The role requires adherence to GMP and HAACP guidelines, GDPs, and safe working practices; you will operate standard warehouse equipment and participate as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with shift 1:45pm–10:15pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF handheld devices.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Solid math skills (add/sub/multiply/divide).
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and material handling procedures.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.

Job description

• Blend raw material products according to production batch records.
• Use batch sheets and follow the mixing instructions to blend products, visually check materials, item number, enter lot number and quantities for each batch such as the ingredients used and record the blending time.
• Follow GMP and HAACP guidelines to ensure food safety rules are met.
• Completes batch sheets according to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
• Follow Department SOPs/Forms and support efforts in general housekeeping.
• Help maintain a safe working environment by complying with company and state regulations.
• Operates standard warehouse equipment (manual and electric pallet jacks, pallet wrapper, sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks) while abiding by OSHA warehouse equipment regulations and guidelines.
• Be a team player who is willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour Shift Differential

Schedule Hours: 1:45pm to 10:15pm, Monday through Friday

Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RedZone Operations Software and handheld devices (RF) a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to read and write in English.
• Solid math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA requirements and safety standards for operating material handling.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Able to walk and stand on a constant basis (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis (3 to 6 hours per shift).
• Able to sit, squat, stoop, climb, kneel, and crawl on an occasional basis (up to 3 hours per shift).
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

The Blending Technician I reports directly to the Blending Supervisor.
