Job summary

Old World Industries in Baytown, TX is seeking a hands-on operations professional to manage loading, unloading, and blending of products. You will supervise packaging, monitor quality, and coordinate with teams to improve efficiency on the floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be a certified forklift operator.
• Proficient PC skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.
• Experience leading and managing others.
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers.
• Ability to effectively handle group and individual work assignments.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform rework or disposition of packaging components.
• Lead packaging quarantine area and recovery team.
• Monitor inventory and disposition of damaged items.
• Transport product to quarantine area for disposal.
• Drive forklift or assist forklift drivers as needed.
• Sort product to minimize salvage accumulation.
• Work with supervisors on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead teams of temporary workers during large-scale projects.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor on important matters.
• Adhere to safety standards including 6S methodology.
