Job summary

PRC Inc. in Utah seeks a Production Operator to set up, operate, and tend machines for mixing and blending a wide range of materials. You will follow work orders and maintain quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include weighing ingredients, monitoring equipment, sampling materials, and adjusting processes. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and working 4:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, with weekend availability.

Qualifications

  • Reading and comprehension abilities.

Requirements

Essential Job Duties and responsibilities:

  • Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.
  • Compound or process ingredients or dyes, according to formulas.
  • Read work orders to determine production specifications or information. (sup)
  • Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
  • Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
  • Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
  • Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials.
  • Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.
  • Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to follow direction and assist with in-process quality control measures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
  • Reading and comprehension abilities.
  • As needed, must be able to work all shifts, weekends.
  • Ability to work in a Team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility.

Minimum Qualification Standards:

Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent degree and training.

Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.

Equipment, Machines, and Software Used:

This position requires some use of scales and Blending Machinery.

Physical Activities and Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 pounds. Requires ability to continually stand and walk for up to 10-hour days.
