Job summary

AEGIS CHEMICAL SOLUTIONS LLC seeks a dedicated Blender for our Midland, TX operations. You will set up and start all mixing tanks, confirm batch ingredients, and ensure accurate documentation for each batch.

You must safely operate mixers, scales, pumps, and forklifts, work outdoors in varying weather, and communicate with treaters, drivers, and account staff to move batches to completion. A high school diploma and forklift certification are required.

Qualifications

• Requires two or more years of experience blending chemicals in production chemical industry.
• Must have forklift certification and a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains (90% of time).

Responsibilities

• Set up and start all mixing tanks and blenders.
• Obtain and understand batch documentation; ensure correct ingredients are used.
• Operate equipment safely (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts).
• Complete batch paperwork in a timely manner and communicate readiness to treaters and drivers.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and refer issues to Supervisor.

This position requires the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrains (90% of working time). Daily physical demands of this position include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, bending, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing, and talking.All candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as excellent problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills. They must also be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, product recipes, material identification, etc. They must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and the ability to perform these operations using weight and volume measurements. Beginner proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point) is a must.
