Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Blender Operator to load weighed materials, blend products per specs, and maintain batch traceability. This production role requires adherence to safety policies in a noisy warehouse environment.

Starting pay is $19.75/hr with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Benefits include health, dental, 401k and wellness programs beginning after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Starting Pay: Blender Level I $19.75/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities.

Job Summary:

Loads Blender with weighed material and blends product to customer specifications.

Job Duties:

• Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Proficiency in: Some SAP

• Work is primarily done in a production setting.
• Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, walk, climb stairs on a frequent basis
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Follow all current and future safety policies, at all times.
• Participate in all safety training and pass written exams.
• Wear safety glasses, hair net, ear protection and smock at all times in the production/warehouse area of the plant.
• Report all accidents/incidents immediately to the proper person.
• Lifting up to 60 pounds.
• In terms of a 12-hour workday, “Occasionally” equals 1% to 33%, “Frequently” equals 34% to 66%, and Continuously” equals 67% to 100% of the time. In a 12-hour workday the job holder should be able to:
• Continuously stand and walk.
• Occasionally bend/stoop, squat, twist, push/pull, kneel and crouch.
• Occasionally reach above shoulder level.
• Occasionally climb to a height of approximately ten (10) feet.
• Occasionally carry/lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
• Occasionally use his/her legs, arms, and shoulders to push/pull items.
• Occasionally use his/her head and neck in flexing and rotating.
• Continuously be around moving machinery.
• Occasionally operate a forklift and/or powered pallet jack.
• Continuously be in factory and/or warehouse working conditions.
• Frequently be in dusty conditions and be exposed to cleaning solvents and lubricants.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90 th day of employment.
