Job summary

Manna Beverages in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Blender Operator to mix juice from concentrate and base at a high rate, operate mixing equipment, load ingredients, weigh and document batch data, and ensure quality. You will follow GMPs, maintain safety procedures, and communicate product formulas.

The role requires precise math, ability to input and verify recipes in Blend System, and to work a 6:00 am–6:30 pm or 6:00 pm–6:30 am schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift certification is required and math proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and GMPs.
• Operate blending machinery and load ingredients.
• Input new recipes and verify recipes in Blend System.
• Clean in Place (CIP) of Blend Tanks and Ratio Blender.
• Record batch data, logs and timings; verify quantities.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper PPE usage.
• Work scheduled shifts, including weekends and extended hours as required.

Blender – Hours: 6:00 am to 6:30 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:30 am; 2/2/3 schedule, Active – Regular full-time; Indianapolis, IN, US.

Position Overview

The Blender blends and mixes juice from concentrate and base at a high rate, ensuring high quality and efficient operation. The Blender operates mixing machines, loads ingredients into mixers, weights and measures ingredients, and is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing mixer machines.

Language Skills

English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and work as safely as possible at all times.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Follow strict guidelines, processes, and procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Daily operation of machines, including scales, processing systems, hoists, pumps, and all related equipment.
• Complete blend sheets, blend logs and shift pass-downs.
• Understand, record, and communicate product description, formulas, and codes.
• Stage and verify ingredients for blending, including verifying batch documentation, identifying discrepancies, assembling ingredients, weighing ingredients, performing blend calculations (including metric conversions), properly handling partial ingredients, verifying ingredients, and recording data.
• Follow established blend procedure to include verifying formula at control panel, comparing recipe and blending for correct quantities, performing reverse osmosis (RO) water conductivity and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) tests, mixing ingredients per instructions, gathering and recording required information, sampling and testing, and adding ingredients to premix tank.
• Input new recipes, start and stop blending process and verify new recipes in Blend System.
• Clean in Place (CIP) Blend Tanks.
• Operate and CIP the Ratio Blender.
• Understand batch hold times and plan when batching should occur.
• Troubleshoot issues with blend system.
• Follow all spill policies and procedures.
• Safely operate baler.
• Follow recycling procedures for plastics, drums, and pallets.
• Safely and efficiently operate Foamer.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interact with customers, co‑workers, and management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience
