YES Prep Public Schools seeks a Teacher in Houston, Texas, for a 10-month contract starting around $64,000 annually. The role emphasizes 1:1 blended learning, data-driven instruction, and strong family communication to support college pathways.

You will develop rigorous content lessons, track student progress with coaches, and collaborate with teams to provide consistent outcomes. Join a high-performing team dedicated to equity and student success.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• Texas Educator Certification, or willing to join ACP to get certified
• Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology
• Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
• Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools
• Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment

• Setting ambitious goals with your students and monitoring their progress with feedback
• Building strong relationships with students and families via regular communication

• Collaborating with co-planner on daily lesson plans and resources
• Meeting deadlines for lesson plans, grades, and work samples
• Working with a team to provide consistency, support, and accountability
• Collaborating with content teams in Professional Development to improve student learning
• Conducting weekly tutorials outside of regular class day for extra instruction
• Supervising on campus for student safety
• Growing professionally through feedback from supervisors and leaders

• Being available by phone, email, or video conferencing to confer with campus leaders, collaborators, students, and/or parents
• Providing personal care services as needed
