Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 24 credit hours in content area.
• Valid Louisiana Teaching License for Grades K-5 or 6.
• Experience with blended learning and technology integration to drive academic achievement.
• Two years of urban teaching experience.
• National Board Certification, TAP Experience, or Core Knowledge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a blended learning environment in English & Language Arts.
• Participation in TAP requirements with data-driven instruction.
• Create an engaging learning environment to develop critical thinking and problem solving.
• Prepare students for strong academic achievement and required assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and data.
• Work with Special Education staff to support diverse learners.
• Attend grade level and staff meetings and school events outside hours.
• Establish rules for behavior and classroom procedures.
• Incorporate feedback from administrative staff.
