Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting in the United States seeks a Blaster Trainee to support daily drilling and blasting activities in the field. This on-the-job trainee position provides hands-on experience while learning blasting techniques under the supervision of a Blaster.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience with drills and explosives or military explosive handling, be willing to travel, and be able to obtain blasting licenses and pass ATF screenings; the company offers strong

Qualifications

• High School Degree required.
• At least two years' experience with drills and explosives, or prior military explosive handling.
• Ability to obtain blasting licenses.
• Must pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Blaster in charge with coordinating daily drilling and blasting activities.
• Trains to be proficient in blasting techniques and understand explosives use.
• Maintain blasting production schedules and assist with site security.
• Attend meetings and participate in heads-up briefings.
• Assist with seismograph setup and drill pattern layout.
