Job summary

Hutco Inc in Moss Point, MS is seeking an experienced blaster/painter to perform blasting and painting using marine coating in accordance with contract requirements.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of hands-on work, be able to operate blast equipment, identify deficiencies, and pass drug screening and background checks. Hutco offers an essential staff care benefits plan including medical, vision, and short-term disability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a blaster/painter.
• Must perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications.
• Must identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required by contract specifications.
• Must be able to sand blast and demonstrate use of each part of the blast equipment.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.

• Perform blasting and painting using marine coating per contract requirements.
• Operate blasting equipment and spray patterns (horizontal, vertical, and side to side).
• Identify and correct deficiencies to meet contract specifications.

Rate of Pay:

$34.00 per hour and $147 per-diem for those who qualify

Description:

Painters have the responsibility to perform blasting and painting utilizing marine coating to specified contract requirements. Understanding of blasting and painting specifications, including but not limited to blast profiles, milage requirements, ect. Perform blasting and painting applications as directed by supervision. Testing will consist of the ability to hook airlines to the manifold and spray horizontal, vertical and side to side.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a blaster/painter
• Must be able to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications.
• Must be able to identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required by the contract specifications.
• Must be able to sand blast and demonstrate how to utilize each part of the blast equipment.
• Must be pass drug screen (HFT) and background check.
